How We Compare Shop Software

We make GreaseGoose. Comparison pages on this site list it with its trade-offs, and we do not take payment from any vendor for placement, ranking, or a write-up.

Published prices only

Every competitor number comes from that vendor's own pricing page or store. If the page does not publish a figure, the cell says "Not published," "Quote only," or stays blank. We do not fill gaps from third-party listicles, search snippets, or sales calls.

GreaseGoose prices come from our plans page.

Checked dates

Each comparison table names the date we fetched the linked pages. A "Prices checked" stamp sits next to "Updated" on the Shop Software Price Index, the small-shop hub, and the alternative pages. We change "Updated" and dateModified only when the words or numbers on the page change.

30-day re-check

The next price check is 30 days after the last fetch. That date is printed as "Next price check." If a vendor page has moved or a number has changed, we update the table, the stamp, and the source link.

How to send a correction

If a price, plan name, or exclusion is wrong, email [email protected] or use the contact form. Include the vendor, the URL you checked, and the figure you found. We will re-read the vendor page and fix the cell if it is off.

What we do not claim

We do not invent review scores or aggregate ratings. We have not used competitors' paid plans unless a page says otherwise. We do not call GreaseGoose "best." Confirm current pricing with each vendor before you buy.
