How to Take Online Payments in GreaseGoose (Connect Stripe)

GreaseGoose uses Stripe Connect so customers can pay invoices online and funds go directly to your bank account. This guide covers connecting Stripe and the full payment workflow.

Connect Stripe

1. Go to Settings, then Connections.
2. Click Connect to Stripe.
3. Follow the prompts to connect your Stripe account.

Once connected, customers can pay invoices online via the invoice link, and the money settles to your bank account through your own Stripe account.

The payment workflow

The full flow from estimate to paid:

1. Create the estimate with labor and parts.
2. Send for Approval. The customer gets a link to review and approve.
3. Customer approves online, or you click Approve manually.
4. Convert to Invoice after approval.
5. Get paid. The customer pays online through the invoice link, or you click Mark as Paid for in-shop payments like cash, check, or a card terminal.

Online vs in-shop payments

• Online: connect Stripe, and the customer pays via the invoice link from their phone. Great for paying before pickup.
• In-shop: for cash, check, or your own card terminal, use Mark as Paid to record the payment against the invoice.

How do I accept online payments in GreaseGoose?

GreaseGoose uses Stripe Connect, so payments settle to your own Stripe account and then to your bank on Stripe's normal payout schedule. You stay in control of your funds.

Can customers pay before they pick up the car?

Yes. Send the customer the invoice link, for example in the vehicle ready text, and they can pay from their phone before arriving. Pickup then becomes simply handing over the keys.
