How to Import and Export Your Data in GreaseGoose

Your data is yours, and GreaseGoose makes it easy to bring it in and take it out. This guide covers both importing and exporting.

Import data from CSV

You can bulk import from each page:

• Customers: Customers page, then Actions, then Import from CSV.
• Crew: Crew page, then Actions, then Import from CSV.
• Parts: Parts page, then Actions, then Import from CSV.

CSV formats

• Customers: Name, Phone, Email
• Technicians: Name, Specialty, Email, Phone
• Parts: Part Name, Part Number, Supplier, Cost, Sell Price, Qty, Threshold, Compatibility

Tip: download the template first from the Actions menu, then fill in your data and upload. This keeps the columns lined up.

Export your data

You can export anytime:

• Per page: each page (Customers, Crew, Parts) has an Export option in the Actions menu.
• Bulk: go to Settings, then Data Management to export everything.

From Settings, then Data Management you can:

• Export All: a ZIP file with everything.
• Individual exports: Customers, Vehicles, Jobs, Estimates, Invoices, Parts, Technicians.

All exports are CSV files, which open in Excel or Google Sheets.

How do I import customers into GreaseGoose?

Go to the Customers page, click Actions, then Import from CSV. Download the template first, fill in Name, Phone, and Email, then upload. You can import crew and parts the same way from their pages.

How do I export my data?

Each page (Customers, Crew, Parts) has an Export option in the Actions menu. For everything at once, go to Settings, then Data Management, where you can Export All as a ZIP or export individual data sets.

What format are exports in?

All exports are CSV files, which open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool. The Export All option packages them in a ZIP.

Can I move my data from another shop system?

Yes. Export your customers and vehicles from your old system to CSV, then import them into GreaseGoose. Most shops are live within a day, and the team can help with the import.
